Fraser Family Foundation

Our purpose is best described by quoting from our application for exempt status (IRS Form 1023):

The purpose of the Fraser Family Foundation is to share the unwarranted wealth acquired through employment through a leading internet company. The basic intent is most simply described by Jesus' words taken from the Gospel of Matthew chapter 25:   "I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you made me welcome. I was naked and you clothed me. I was ill and you came and looked after me. I was in prison and you came to see me there."

The Fraser Fammily Foundation will attempt to achieve its goals primarily through gifts to other charitable, religious, scientific, literary or educational organizations. These organizations fall into two broad categories as follows:

  1. Those whose main purpose is helping people in need. Included are both organizations that provide help to people with day to day needs and those that provide help for the victims of disasters, both natural and man-made. U.S. charitable organizations with domestic and/or international service areas will be included.
  2. Societies and organizations of the Catholic religious, both contemplative and active.

Finally, the Fraser Family Foundation has a specific interest in helping those organizations with what can be called infrastructure projects. That is, the funding of work which may be secondary to the purpose of the organization, but without which the organization cannot properly function.
